Description
The dovecote, located approximately 60 metres north-west of Buckland Tout Saints Hotel, is a structure that likely dates from the 16th or early 17th century. It is built of stone and has no roof. The circular building has a diameter of about 4 metres and features a door opening with a concrete lintel. There is a two-light opening to the left and a single light to the right. Inside, there are regular square pigeon openings arranged in rows of 1:5:5:5, separated by continuous slate string courses, with a slate perch for each hole. The roof has completely disappeared, and there is some overgrowth as of October 1988. This dovecote likely predates the current hotel.
