Description

Derry’s Cottage is a large, detached cottage dating from the early 18th century, situated at a right angle to the lane. It is constructed of stone rubble with a thatched, half-hipped roof. The cottage has two storeys and originally had two windows, now fitted with 20th-century casements. The thatched eaves extend downwards at the centre to create a large hood over a 20th-century glazed porch. Rendered chimney stacks are at the ends of the building. An outshut (a rear extension) is present, roofed with asbestos slate.
