Description
The gate piers and gates located approximately 420 metres south-southwest of Lyneham House date from the 18th and 19th centuries. They consist of a pair of tall, slim ashlar gate piers from the 18th century, featuring moulded bases, caps, and ball finials. The 19th-century inner gate piers are made of cast iron and have openwork wrought iron panels. The gates and the ornate wrought iron overthrow are also included in this design, with the ironwork crafted by D. White of Boston. The flanking railings are from the 20th century and are made of wrought iron.
