Description
House. Probably dating from the 18th century, it was restored and extended in the late 20th century. The house is built of painted slate rubble, with a thatched roof featuring a half-hipped end on the right and a gable end on the left. A projecting gable-end stack is visible on the left, with slate weathering. Originally, the house comprised two rooms with a central entrance, potentially with an unheated room and a shallow outshut behind. A single-storey, one-room plan extension was added to the left-hand end in the late 20th century, and interior alterations may have also occurred. The two-storey front has an asymmetrical facade with two and three-light casement windows; the frames may be 18th century, all with six panes per light. A doorway is positioned to the right of centre, featuring a 20th-century panelled door and a thatched canopy. A late 20th-century single-storey extension with a thatched roof is located at the left-hand end. The thatch at the rear extends over the outshut on the left, and several two and three-light casements with glazing bars are present. The interior was not inspected.
