Description
Dennington Cottages are a twin pair of estate cottages built in 1866 and 1867. They are constructed from roughcast rendered stone and brick, topped with slate roofs that have gable ends. Each pair of cottages features two rendered axial stacks. The cottages are arranged on either side of the road, mirrored in plan with gables at each end. They are two storeys high, with each gable containing a two-light casement window, featuring six panes per light above a transomed window with four over six panes. Similar windows are located beside a tall gabled porch that has twin pointed arch doorways. The gable of the porch displays datestones with the Duke of Bedford crest. There are additional porches with datestones on the facing end walls, each featuring a single infilled pointed arched doorway.
