Description

This is a boundary wall with bee-boles, located approximately 5 metres west of No. 29 on Church Street in Braunton. It is likely from the 19th century and measures about 20 metres long. The wall is made of cob on a rubble plinth and features a pantiled gabled coping. On the south side, the rubble base of the wall supports 11 bee-boles, with 6 in the lower range and 5 in the offset row above. The niches of the bee-boles are plastered, with slate sills, rounded backs, and slightly shouldered heads. The wall was noted to be overgrown in 1984.
