Description
The granary, built in the 19th century, is located approximately 15 metres east of Kennacott Farmhouse in Newton Tracey. It features a rendered timber-framed facade with stone rubble gable and rear walls, topped by a scantle slate roof with gable ends and clay ridge tiles. The granary is small and rectangular in shape, built into a bank with storage space underneath. There are opposing plank doors on each side, with the north side door flanked by two small rectangular window openings. A central square-section pier supports this side, creating niches for cart access and additional storage. The granary is part of a cohesive group with the stables that have a loft above and a barn, all arranged around a cobbled courtyard.
