Description

Slade is a farmhouse, likely dating from the 18th century, with later 19th-century alterations. It is built of rendered stone rubble and some cob, with brick dressings, and has a thatched roof with gable-end brick stacks. The house follows a near-symmetrical two-room and central cross passage plan, with a 19th-century outshut at the rear. The two-storey facade has a three-window arrangement. Windows are 20th-century casements with two lights, cambered brick lintels, and quoins. The central part of the roof is half-hipped and incorporates a 20th-century porch. The interior was not inspected.
