Description

The Burgess chest tomb, located approximately 1 metre east of the south porch of the Church of St. John, dates from the late 18th century. It features a brick plinth topped with a slate slab. The tomb is adorned with incised decoration and inscriptions that commemorate members of the Burgess family.
