Description

Fern Cottage is an 18th-century cottage constructed from painted roughcast rendered stone rubble and cob. It features a thatch roof with brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a symmetrical two-room central entrance plan and stands two storeys tall, with a range of three windows. The windows are of 20th-century design. The roof is slated and has a gabled shape, complemented by a carved bargeboard on the brick porch. This cottage is included for its group value context.
