Farmhouse. C17, much modified; C20 extension to back not of special interest. Rendered cob, half-hipped asbestos-cement slate roof. Plan; difficult to read, but may have been 2-room, plus dairy at slightly higher floor level to left; stair is now opposite entry, backs on fireplace to right hand room. Kitchen, left, has front lateral stack. Two storeys, 2 windows, all 2-light wood casements, that left of stack at ground floor with glazing bars. Deep-set 4-panel part-glazed door to right of large projecting stack. Right end has one storey lean- to, above which a small casement to gable, brick dressings; back also has early 2-light casement. Interior; central room with Aga stove in large opening under C18 wood mantel shelf with central key and dropped ends; one large early C17 deep chamfered spine beam, partly over entry to later inserted stair. Late C20 fireplace and boxed beam in room to right. Dairy, up step from kitchen to left, has chamfered and stopped beams. Roof space not inspected, but feet of heavy principals visible in low-ceiled bedrooms.
