Description
This bank barn, located approximately 20 metres west of Oldridge Farmhouse and on the opposite side of the road, likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of unrendered stone rubble with some cob and features a hipped slate roof, which has a lower ridge level at the left end. The barn has a rectangular plan, with shippons at the front and access to the first floor via a rear cart entrance. There is a winnowing door with a small two-light window at the right end, situated above a previously symmetrical arrangement of two plank doors flanked by window openings. The window at the right end has been enlarged to a wide segmental stone arched opening. The rear cart entrance has double plank doors, and there is a loft door above a plank door with a window opening to the left, which leads to a range with a lower ridge level at the left end.
