Description
The walls surrounding the Quaker burial ground, located approximately 20 meters south of Loverings, date from the late 18th century or possibly the 19th century. They are constructed from stone rubble and topped with tiles. The gatepiers are made of roughly coursed stone rubble with concrete caps. This quadrangular burial ground is enclosed by four walls, with an entrance on the north side. At the south end, there is a slate stone inscribed with the following: "The piece of land/was given by/Richard Adams/ to the/Society of Friends/for a burying ground/By will/Dated 28th of 8th month 1782."
