Description
This is a headstone from 1824, created by H Britton of Landkey. It is made of slate and is located about 5 metres south of the south-west corner of the west tower of the Church of St Peter in East and West Buckland. The headstone features a decorated top with a central urn and includes the verse, "Behold ye Lord taketh away who can hinder him, who will say unto Him what doest thou?" It commemorates Christopher Jones, who died in 1824, and has additional verses below the main inscription.
