Description
The building is a churchyard cross located approximately 12 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. The socket stone and base of the shaft likely date from the 15th century, while most of the shaft and head were restored around 1880. The original socket stone is square at the base and octagonal at the top, featuring broad shoulders. The bottom section, about 0.8 metres high, is original and has chamfered edges with roll stops. The cross now stands at approximately 3.5 metres tall. The 19th-century work continues the original design, resulting in a tall, slightly tapering shaft with chamfered edges and a moulded cap adorned with beads. At the top, it is surmounted by an alisee patee cross, which is decorated with sunken rosettes.
