Description

Little Hayne Cottage is a house, originally two cottages, likely dating from the mid-19th century. The walls are plastered cob, built on rubble footings, with cob or rubble stacks incorporating plastered brick chimney shafts. The roof is thatched. The cottages face south-east, away from the road, with the original right-hand (north-east) cottage being larger. There are gable-end stacks. The front has a regular three-window arrangement with 20th-century replacement casement windows featuring glazing bars. A 20th-century gabled and thatched roof porch stands to the left of centre, alongside a small lobby window. A 20th-century glazed door is located to the right of centre. The interior features plain carpentry.
