HOLCOMBE ROGUS HOLCOMBE ROGUS Talbot chest tomb approximately 4.5 metres south of chancel of church of All Saints

Chest tomb. Early C19 in memory of James Talbot. Portland stone ashlar. Rectangular in plan the chest tomb sits on a moulded plinth. There are clasping pilasters on each corner creating panels each side. The lid does not project and has a low-pitched ridge along the top. The south side is inscribed in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering but this is very worn. The name James Talbot is legible but not so the date of his death.
