Description

Clysthayes Bridge is a road bridge over the railway, built in 1844 as part of the Bristol and Exeter Railway by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It is constructed from volcanic trap coursed rubble and features a wide single segmental arch fly-bridge situated in a cutting. The bridge includes a string course, parapet, and coping, with the parapets extending a considerable distance to the south.
