Description

Preston Bridge Cottage is a small cottage, likely dating from the mid to late 19th century, with a later extension added in the late 19th or early 20th century. The main cottage has walls of plastered cob on rubble footings, with rubble and brick stacks topped with brick, and a thatched roof. It is a gable-ended cottage, originally comprising two rooms, facing south-east, with a single-storey extension to the right (north-east). There are end stacks on both the main cottage and the extension. The front of the cottage has a symmetrical facade with two windows. A 20th-century porch with an asbestos tile roof covers the central front door. The windows are late 19th-century casements, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights in half dormers on the first floor, each with a thatched gable. The single-storey extension has a thatched roof with a hipped end.
