Description

No. 3 High Street is a late 18th-century building that may have been refronted from an earlier structure, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The front elevation is likely made of brick, covered in stucco and blocked out, while the left side is roughcast. It has a slate roof and chimney stacks with handmade brick shafts. The building is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical three-bay front. There is a parapet with small moulded brackets above a cornice. The ground floor features two 20th-century shop windows with adjacent doors in the center, and on the first floor, there are three 9/6-pane horned sash windows. The ground floor has been gutted for shops, but features of interest may still exist in the rear wing and on the first floor. This building is included for its group value.
