Description
Wells Park is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of cob with a stone plinth and is plastered, topped with a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and features a symmetrical front with a three-window range. The first-floor windows are horned sashes, with 20 panes in the outer windows and 12 panes in the centre window. The ground floor has 30-paned sash windows. There is a central porch supported by Tuscan columns and pilasters, with a moulded cornice on the canopy. The door is panelled below and glazed above, and there is a moulded gutter box. Axial stacks are located on the side elevations. While there are some 20 and 30-paned sash windows elsewhere, most have been replaced in the 20th century. The listing also includes a brick garden wall with piers that support bowls, along with the contemporary railings.
