Description

Four houses in a row, dating to around 1820. They are built of stucco with decorative quoin pilasters, and have hipped slate roofs. The houses were originally designed as three separate properties but were later connected; number 3 was inserted afterwards and features gables to the front. The houses have two or three storeys, with basement levels. They have sash windows with glazing bars, except for number 3, which has casement windows with diamond leading. The porches are square, with panelled doors. Number 3A has a particularly fine six-panel door under a decorative fanlight, while numbers 3 and 3A also have late 20th-century part-glazed lean-to porches. The entrances are approached by flights of stone steps with nosings. A lean-to conservatory is located at the right-hand end. Numbers 1 to 4 are considered to form a group.
