Description

Nos 122 and 124, 124a and 124b Fore Street is an L-shaped, two-storey house that is said to be an ancient manor house, although no visible features date from before the late 18th century. The foundation and base of the walls may be older. The building has a roughcast exterior with rusticated quoins and a modillion cornice. The gable end facing the road features a two-storey bow with sash windows that have glazing bars. There is a plain round-headed doorway, also with rusticated quoins and voussoirs. The roof is slate and has a spike finial on the gable end.
