Description
Nos 4 and 5 Heavitree Park are two linked dwellings built around 1820. They have rendered exteriors and low-pitched slate roofs with deep overhangs and central stacks. Each building is two storeys tall, but No 4 also features a three-light casement dormer. The properties have two-windowed fronts with 16-pane sashes that include glazing bars on the first floor, while the ground floor has two-light vertical casements. Notably, the left side of No 5 has a tripartite sash with bars. Each dwelling has a tall niche at ground level, with No 4 displaying a cylindrical shaft bearing a modelled owl and No 5 featuring a classical bust of a young man. The entrances are located in the gable ends. Originally, these charming buildings had a rustic character, but they have since been connected by a brick and half-timbered garage to form a single house.
