Description

Grendon's Almshouses, located on Grendon Road, were founded by Simon Grendon in 1406 and were originally situated in Preston Street. They were rebuilt in 1880 by architect Robert W Best. The building is designed in a gabled Tudor style using local stone and consists of two storeys. It features three projecting gabled bays with entrances and has mullion and transom casement windows. The roof is tiled and includes clustered chimneys. All the listed buildings on Grendon Road are part of a group.
