Description

Elm Cottage, located on Crabb Lane, is an irregularly-shaped two-storey house built around 1840. It features an exaggerated picturesque style with a Swiss influence. Notable architectural elements include a tower-like feature at one corner, heavily overhanging eaves and bargeboards, pointed windows with diagonal glazing bars, and a trellis balcony. The roof is covered with pantiles. Elm Cottage also includes a small extension to the north that is designed in a similar style.
