Description

Reed Hall is a large Italianate house built in 1867 by Richard Thornton, a successful East India merchant. The building has three storeys and features seven windows. It is constructed of yellow brick with stone dressings and has a balustraded parapet topped with an Italianate tower at the north-west corner.
