Description

FENITON SY 19 NW 7/65 Coach house approximately 15 - metres west of Feniton Court GV II

Coach house belonging to Feniton Court (q.v). Early C19. Partly-plastered brick; slate roof. The coach house is built alongside the churchyard. It faces south-east and has a 5-bay front. There are 2 large double doorways either side of a central elliptical arch. This arch is open and recessed behind it is the front of a tack room with a C19 door and window. There is a central gable containing pigeon holes. The roof is hipped to left and to right it abuts the former stables. In the middle of the ridge is a wrought iron weather-vane. Feniton is an attractive little village containing a good group of listed buildings.
