Description

These gatepiers, railings, and gates are located 50 meters southwest of Cowley House and date from the late 18th century. There are four grey limestone gate-piers that are rusticated, featuring stone-carved panels beneath moulded capping and vermiculated bases. Two of the gate-piers are flanked by dwarf quadrant plinths with iron railings and terminal piers. The original carriage entrance has been shortened by later railings situated between the central piers. Please note that the plinth and the later railings are not included in the listing.
