Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1850-1860, constructed from plastered stone rubble or brick, with stone rubble or brick stacks topped by plastered brick chimney shafts, and a slate roof. The house has a double depth plan and faces south-west. Inside, there is a central entrance hall and staircase, flanked by front and back rooms, all featuring end stacks, with the two main rooms located at the front and service rooms at the rear. The building is two storeys high with attics.

The symmetrical front has three windows, with end pilasters and pilasters between. The first-floor windows are two-light casements with glazing bars and margin panes. A hipped slate-roofed verandah runs across the front, with solid end walls; the left end features a flat arch. Original French windows with glazing bars and margin panes are located on either side of the central porch, which has a flat arch containing a four-panel door and a fanlight with glazing bars. Each side of the porch has a lancet window with Gothic-style glazing bars.

A large central attic dormer with a half-hipped roof contains a casement with glazing bars. The deep eaves are supported by a series of shaped brackets, and the roof is half-hipped at both ends. The end walls have casements in the attic, and the rear features casements with glazing bars and a similar large attic dormer. The interior includes 19th-century joinery details.
