Description

This is a chest tomb located approximately 3 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of St Andrew. It likely dates from the 17th century and is made of Beerstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular shape and features a thick flat lid with moulded edges. The sides are panelled, with one panel at each end and two panels on each side. The plinth is buried. The lid bears an inscription in Gothic lettering, but it is too worn to be readable except in ideal lighting conditions.
