Description

The White Cottage is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of white-washed stone rubble with a hipped thatched roof featuring a moulded eaves cornice. The house has two storeys and a five-window front. It contains two-light casement windows with leaded panes. The windows on the left have elliptical arches with Gothic intersecting glazing bars. A fielded panel door is set between these windows, within a moulded architrave, and is accessed by a good wrought iron porch with a tented canopy. A rebuilt brick ridge stack is located near the right-hand end. At the rear is a wide gabled wing, plastered and with a thatched roof.
