Description
The stable block at Belthayes Farm dates from the 18th century and is associated with the former home farm of Dulford House. It is rendered, likely built of stone, and features a slate roof that is hipped at the left end and half hipped at the right end. The building has a rectangular plan and includes large gabled loft dormers, which were reportedly used for grooms to sleep in.
On the south elevation, there are three doorways, two of which are blocked, and these have fanlights with spoke glazing bars. At the right end, some rebuilding has occurred in brick, which includes a pair of double doors set in a square-headed opening. There is a loft door in the gabled dormer on the south side and a loft window in the attic dormer on the west end. The interior has not been inspected. This stable block is part of a group of buildings in the farmyard at Belthayes Farm.
