Description

This is a 17th-century barn located immediately northwest of Townsend Farmhouse in Stockland. The barn is constructed of stone rubble and is positioned at right angles to the road. It features a corrugated iron roof with half-hipped ends. There is a central barn doorway leading to the threshing floor, which has a heavy timber frame. The end of the barn facing the road has modern garage doors. Inside, three jointed cruck trusses remain, with the joints face-pegged.
