Description
The King's Arms Inn is a public house that dates back to around the 16th century and has undergone later alterations. It features a stone rubble construction with a plastered front adorned with pilasters. The building has a thatched roof with gabled ends, and the west gable end is topped with stone coping. It stands two storeys high and has a range of four windows, which include 18th century, 19th century, and modern three-light casements with glazing bars. There is a narrow carriageway located to the right of the centre. Brick chimney stacks are positioned at the gable ends and along the ridge. At the rear, there are two wings, one of which has a half-hipped thatched roof.
Inside, part of one jointed cruck truss is visible, along with a plank and muntin screen. The interior also features an open fireplace with a cambered bressumer and chamfered stone jambs, as well as a cambered arch doorway on the first floor.
