Description
The Yew Tree Inn is a public house that was originally built as a pair of cottages in the 18th century. It features square-panelled timber framing and a thatched half-hipped roof, with brick stacks. The building has a gable end facing the street and is two stories tall with a two-window front. There are two doors, one of which is located to the right and is sheltered by a thatched canopy. The ground floor has three wooden casements, while the first floor has two. The left side of the ground floor includes a verandah with a tiled roof. The left return of the building has two 20th-century windows on the ground floor and a 2-light casement on the first floor. At the rear, there are two 2-light casements with segmental heads and blocked windows on the ground floor, while the first floor has three 2-light casements. Inside, the inn features chamfered beams and an open fireplace with a timber lintel. There is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension to the right of the front, which is not of special interest.
