Description
The granary at Glebe House is a late 17th-century structure that was altered in the late 18th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork on the ground floor and stretcher bond on the first floor, topped with a pyramidal tiled roof. The building has a square plan and is two stories tall. The garden front includes two round-arched openings that were blocked in the late 18th century, complete with keystones and imposts. A three-brick plat band runs along the first floor, extending to the returns and becoming a two-brick band at the rear. The right return has a planked door on the first floor. The rear, which faces the road, is windowless and displays eleven 'S' tie-plates and one 'X' tie-plate. The granary is connected to Glebe House by a covered passageway. The interior has not been inspected.
