Description
The Lamb Inn is a late 18th-century inn located on the north side of The Strand in Keevil. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick with chamfered stone quoins and features a concrete pantiled roof with coped verges and gable end stone stacks. The building consists of two parallel ranges and is two storeys high with four windows.
The entrance includes a nine-panelled door set in a beaded architrave, topped with a flat stone hood supported by brackets, located to the left of the centre. To the left of the door is a 20-pane sash window, and to the right are two additional 20-pane sash windows. There is a plat band at the first floor level, which has three 20-pane sashes and a blind window above the door where an inn sign is displayed. The right side of the building features a planked door and a 20-pane sash window.
On the left return, there is a lean-to extension with a 20-pane sash window on the first floor. A rear addition from the 20th century is also present. The front of the building is adorned with cast iron spearhead railings.
