Description
The outbuilding to the west of Seend Head House is a Grade II listed structure, likely used for drying wool. It dates from the 18th century and was altered in the early 19th century. The building is constructed from rubble stone and red brick, topped with a stone slate roof, and stands two storeys high. The upper floor was originally open on three sides, supported by red brick piers, with a weatherboard gable on the west side. The openings have since been infilled with brick. The east end features rubble stone and has a late 17th century or early 18th century oval light on the north wall. The ground floor, made of rubble stone, served as a stable in the 19th century and has two doors with overlights flanking a glazing bar window on the south side. To the west, there is a lower range with Bridgwater tiles, which has been converted into a garage; this section has been reduced in height and length in the 20th century.
