Description
The annexe to the south of Conigre Unitarian Church, built around the 1860s, was formerly a church hall. It is constructed of stone and features two gables at the front, which cover a crypt. The building has side buttresses topped with crocketted pinnacles. On the first floor, there are two pointed lunettes, each containing three cusped lights. Each gable on the ground floor has an arched doorway with a pair of flanking cusped lancets. The left gable retains a foiled cross at its apex. In front of the building, there are fine cast and wrought iron railings on a terrace, with arcading between the rails topped with fleur de lys. Similar guard rails lead down to the crypt level and to the gate, while arrow head railings are positioned in front of the crypt. The Conigre Unitarian Church and its annexe, along with the railings, dwarf wall, and gatepiers, form a group with No 19 Middle Rank.
