Description
Dauntsey Park Lodge is the north lodge to Dauntsey House, built in the mid 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features stone slate roofs along with a three-shaft ridge stack. The building is single storey and has a T-plan layout, characterized by decorative indented coping on the shouldered gables, flush quoins, a plinth, and Tudor-style mullion windows. The north, south, and east gables are similar, each with an apex quatrefoil above a two-light window that has hoodmoulds. The windows are small-paned iron casements. Attached to the east gable, parallel to the south wing, is a far-projecting porch that is gabled to the south, featuring a Tudor-arched door on the east side flanked by single lights. There is also a single light with a hood on the south end. To the south, there is a very small courtyard with matching outbuildings.
