Description
Nos 1 and 3 Cliff Road are two dwellings that were part of a former Court House complex, dating from around 1680, with 19th and 20th-century changes to the windows. The buildings are constructed from squared and coursed rubble, featuring rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone dressings, and a gabled stone slate roof with three stone stacks topped with brick caps.
The two-storey structure has two windows for No 1 and four windows for No 3. No 1 has blocked window surrounds and 12-pane plastic frame fixed lights. In contrast, No 3 features moulded flat section two-light mullions with small pane casements. All ground floor windows have flush cambered headed strainer arches above them. No 1 includes two keyed oculi on the left side. The entrance to No 1 has a six-panel door with a flat hood supported by carved brackets, while No 3 has a plank door with a similar hood. The buildings also display a moulded plinth, a first-floor moulded string course, and a coved cornice.
