Description
Croft Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It was originally constructed with a timber frame, which has been rebuilt using flint and brick with dressed limestone, and is covered by a thatched roof with a brick chimney stack on the right side. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, and has two windows. A planked door is located to the left of the centre, flanked by 20th-century two-light segmental-headed casement windows. Two eyebrow dormers are situated in the roof, each containing a three-light and a two-light casement window. The left return side is partly rendered, concealing the original timber framing, and features a three-light casement window. The rear of the cottage has a blocked doorway, a planked door, a 20th-century casement window, and two eyebrow dormers. Inside, the cottage retains chamfered beams, and the open fireplace in the room to the right of the entrance has a chamfered cambered lintel resting on stone jambs.
