Description

Bramley Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th century. The gable end is built of banded flint and brick, while the front is of Flemish bond brick with stone quoins, and the roof is thatched with a brick stack on the left. It has a gable facing the road. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, featuring two windows. A central planked door is sheltered by a thatched porch, with a two-light casement window on either side. Two eyebrow dormers each contain a two-light casement window. A bay to the right is a 20th-century addition. The left return side shows a single-light, recessed, chamfered casement window to the first floor. The rear of the cottage features single-light and two-light casements set within a partly rubble stone wall. A 20th-century porch is attached to the left, leading to an outshut of a 20th-century extension. The interior was not accessible at the time of survey in February 1986.
