Description

The Brimsdon Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 5 metres west of the Church of All Saints. It dates from the mid-17th century and is made of limestone. The south panel features a central fleur-de-lys with rosettes on either side, carved in low relief. The north side bears an inscription commemorating Thomas Brimsdon, who died in 1710, while the east panel has an inscription for Shussane Brimsdon, who died in 1646. The monument has a flat top that is cavetto-moulded and has suffered significant weathering.
