Description

This is a late 17th-century house located on the west side of High Street. It is constructed of ashlar limestone with a stone slate roof and has a cellar. The building is two storeys and attics, with a five-bay by two-bay layout. The central entrance features a pair of doors leading up three steps, framed by a moulded architrave, bracketed cornice and a tall broken pediment with an urn finial. Raised quoins and a plat band are visible on the exterior. The house was altered in the late 18th century, with the addition of twelve-pane sash windows. Dentilled eaves and three 19th-century half-hipped dormers, featuring shaped bargeboards, are also present. The roof is hipped with gable stacks. The interior contains fine panelling and a staircase, all dating back to the late 17th century.
