Description
The Tithe Barn at Church Farm is a 15th-century gatehouse range that has been converted into a stable. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof, with a coped west gable and a stone octagonal spired cowl. The original structure includes a through arch and a section to the west. The through-arch has a double-chamfered arch on the south side that dies into imposts, with a later raking buttress to the right. The section to the left has stepped buttresses on each side, along with a stable door and a window. An added range to the right of the arch contains a stable door, a window, and one upper window. The north side features a plain timber lintel over the carriageway, a stepped buttress, and a very small chamfered light to the right. The west gable has a small light at the apex. Inside, the roofs have been replaced and the floors removed, but there is one chamfered and bar-stopped beam against the west wall. Historically, Seagry was a grange of Bradenstoke Priory during medieval times.
