Description
Bearfield Congregational Chapel, built around 1787, was known as Countess of Huntingdon's Chapel before 1879. The chapel is constructed from coursed rubble and features a hipped stone-tiled roof with eaves. The main front has three windows; the two side windows include swivel transom lights, while the central window has a fixed light with a semi-circular head. There is a solid ashlar porch with a slate roof and a plain door opening framed by a stone doorcase that includes pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment. The side elevation also has three windows with swivel transom lights. Bearfield Congregational Chapel is part of a group with Nos 1 to 6 (consecutive).
