Description
No 8 on Church Lane is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features an ashlar front with brick sides and rear, topped with a Welsh slate roof that has coped verges and brick end stacks. The house is two stories high and has a symmetrical front with three windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a wrought iron porch, flanked by 12-pane sash windows on either side. There is a plat band at the first floor, where three more 12-pane sashes are located, and another plat band at the attic level. The right side of the house has one sash window in the attic. The left side is made of rubblestone and includes a lean-to extension. At the rear, there is a brick outshot with coped verges on the roof and sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
