Description
Alma House, located on the west side of Alma Place, is a mid-18th century building constructed of colourwashed brick with a pitched tile roof. It features a very tall chequer brick stack and stands two storeys high with attics. The building has a moulded brick eaves cornice and five sash windows with glazing bars set in reveals on the first floor. The ground floor of Alma House has a pent-roofed section that projects forward, flanked by two canted bays with sash windows and glazing bars, alongside glazed double doors topped with a fanlight and marginal glazing bars. The ground floor of No 14 includes two casement windows (one tripartite) with glazing bars and a 19th-century door with a fanlight. All the listed buildings in Alma Place are recognized as a group.
